Ecuador, located in the West of South America, straddles the equator and this is where it gets its name from. Petroleum stands as the largest industry of Ecuador. The country is rich in agriculture, including bananas, flowers, coffee, cacao, sugar, tropical fruits, palm oil, palm hearts, rice and corn.
